Trilogy introduces Mercury Mobile – Delivering Intercom Anywhere

Trilogy USA Inc., providers of the Mercury IP Communications platform, today announced the formal release of a new mobile intercom capability that integrates with existing Mercury products. Mercury Mobile extends multi-channel intercom capability to any location using COTS devices.

Responding to the requirement for real-time, multi-channel voice communications whenever and wherever required, Mercury Mobile provides robust intercom capability without burdening users with single-purpose intercom hardware in their operating environment.

Mercury Mobile audio mixing and routing will continue to take place on the Mercury Interface Units, however individual users will access the intercom via Virtual Panel and a VOIP connection over standard TCP/IP networks. Compatible user devices include COTS workstations, desktops, laptops, netbooks, and tablets weighing as little as 1.5 lbs. Wired or wireless implementations are possible. A Mercury Mobile smartphone user interface will be released later this year.

Mercury Mobile users will still enjoy up to 32 simultaneous voice channels for direct and conference-style communications. Calls to and from radios, telephones and other voice technologies connected to the Mercury enterprise are also supported.

In addition to offering users greater mobility, Mercury Mobile architecture enables faster deployment of globally connected voice communications infrastructure with lower logistics and maintenance costs. Intercom capability for specific users may be enabled only when and where it is needed.

Mercury Mobile represents another first of a kind offering from Trilogy, a provider of intercom products since 1986. The company is the recognized leader in network-centric intercom communications products for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) voice communications. Trilogy’s Mercury ES product, a multi-level, cross-domain solution released in 2009, is the only accredited product for DCID 6/3 Protection Level 4 operation. It enables simultaneous communication among and between Top Secret and Secret operators, analysts and pilots. It has been deployed globally to support around the clock DoD missions.
