Mercury ES

Multi-Level, Cross-Domain Voice Communications

Mercury ES is a multi-channel intercom over IP voice communications technology that enables users to communicate over standard IP-networks. From a single user interface, called a Browser Panel, authorized users conduct simultaneous speaking and listening activities at multiple levels of security and across domains. Interfaces to radios, telephone and VOIP systems enable the creation of an even more powerful unified voice communications capability.

Mercury ES was first released in 2009 and has been accredited and deployed on numerous TOP SECRET-SCI
and SECRET networks for use by thousands of analysts, operators and pilots.

Built on the Mercury IP communications technology introduced 2001, Mercury ES has been adopted by several large United States Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaisance (ISR) programs for multi-level, cross-domain communications between sites distributed around the globe. The majority of these systems are used to support TS-SCI and SECRET (Protection Level 4) information sharing.

Mercury ES users choose exactly what they receive and transmit based on
selection of connection keys on a Browser Panel user interface.

Users access the Mercury ES Enterprise on workstations, laptops or tablets via the Browser Panel. Unlike single-channel technologies like telephones, users listen and speak to multiple sources and destinations simultaneously. Audio receive and transmit status for each connection key is controlled by the user, through the selection of connection keys on the Browser Panel. For security reasons, the availability of connection keys on a specific user's Browser Panel is established through configuration of the system. Each operator may be allocated up to 32 simultaneous receive and transmit channels.

Mercury ES makes secure Mult-Level, Cross-Domain Communications a reality.

Mercury ES is designed specifically to facilitate communications between multiple levels of security and across domains. Several United States intelligence agencies and three top-tier defense contractors were consulted during the development of the Multi-Level Security / Cross-Domain aspects of the system. The Voice Bridge, Administration Software, and Browser Panel work in a manner that allows secure voice communications to traverse traditional network security boundaries without joining the IP networks. Any number of voice bridges can be located at points where joint, multinational, non-governmental organization (NGO), interagency, state, local and tribal communications links are required.

Mercury ES is a scalable COTS product.

The hardware and software components of the Mercury ES platform are commercial-off-the-shelf products designed to work with standards-based IT and network technologies. Any number of Mercury ES workstations can be linked together to create a communications platform with incomparable flexibility, capacity and efficiency.

Mercury ES is compatible with radios, telephones (FXO, FXS & E&M) and other voice technologies.

In addition to intercom-style communications (low latency, fast connections), Mercury ES is also compatible with all types of radios, telephones and voice communications products. This allows users to access every authorized communications asset from a single, unified user interface from anywhere on the network. They can listen or speak to any combination of intercom, radio, telephone or other sources and destinations simultaneously.
